Care Bears: Lineup Changes

As announced on Care Bears’ homepage over the last couple of days, there has been quite a lot of changes in their roster.

• Leaving: Vallone, Picasso (former cruciamentum), Mönkiäinen
• Joining: Nekku (former cruciamentum), Elimi, DK (former H2), Nemppu (former Eejits)

I contacted Depch (one of Care Bears’ leaders) to ask him a few questions about what has happened.

Why did so many of your players leave?
The core of the Care Bears was built basically on 2 great demomen, Vallone and ReVe. After the discussion about demolimit 1 something needed to be done and we were/are lacking a good scout, so Vallone tried to be a scout and make Reve the #1 demoman but the tryout couldn’t have worked that well due Reve’s current inactivity and that kinda would’ve forced Vallone to be the demoman so there was some tension about that too. I guess that was some of the reason and additionally Vallone aimed higher and much faster than we could’ve done together.

Mönkiäinen made the decision of parting the clan by himself when we said that we were renewing the core and could only offer him a role backing up players. We really would’ve had plenty of soldiers then, so good decision by Mönkiäinen and no hard feelings about it.

Releasing Picasso was actually a favor for him I think, he’s a good medic and can compete well on div 2 level but some of our core had been building around Gainiz too as a medic and also my intensions of trying out medic on some maps really made it better this way.

First you announced that Jackium also left the clan but later you withdrew it. What happened?
Jackium being a friend of Vallone was a bit misunderstood then, there were few other issues too but we got it straight up and he is still in the clan. 

Tell us a little about your new members.
DK & Nemppu are basically playing out for the scout role and we’re trying out how they would adapt in to teamplay.

Elimi is a veteran of qwtf/etf and he has always been a great great player on those games so I have no question about that he is able to compete in div 1/2 level in the long run as he gains experience from games. So far we’ve only played 3 clan games with him but he is a really good and nice guy.

Nekku is another great addition, great soldier who understands the game well too.

Where do you see Care Bears go from here?
Overall we definately lost some ground in the level of play. As would anyone who’d lost an active great core demoman. Since last week we’ve mostly now just been trying to give playing time to the new members to get a bit of the rust off and get back in to clan action. In the long run I think things will turn out better this way but where as with the former lineup we fought for the top spots of the division at the moment I see it that we are fighting to sustain our spot in Division 2B.

if elimi can get to level wheres hes been @ qwtf/etf he can outplay vallone anyday. so actually i think your clan just improved a bit.
