The Spy Update (21/5/09)
The truth seems to be revealed: the sniper and spy are each getting weapons within the next class update pack.
The Spy has jumped in on the limelight, and it appears that he could be getting two new invisible watches to choose from, making a total of 3. The Sniper is probably going to be receiving the standard 3 weapon choices, two of which have been artistically designed and shown to us.
Way way long time ago, I personally can remember a forum go-er spouting nonsense that the spy and sniper update was going to be released together, but this was before the announcal of the Scout update, and once that released, the rumour was forgotten. Something he also mentioned was that the Spy was to receieve two new revolvers and watches, and which gun you had equipped was tied to which watch you had equipped as well.
There are four news days left, so itll be very interesting to see what becomes of all this, but currently we are looking at a two day wait for news, and a release on late thursday.
PS. the pyro was a girl, for a short time.

This may be wrong. It could only be the spy.
That’s what it says on the TF2 blog “The Spy Update (5/21/09)”.
They have designed not only the idea but the artwork/renderings for two weapons at least for sniper.
Also “If you’re wondering what’s taking so long, since the content is “done” on the PC already, it’s mostly been around fitting it all onto the XBox” from April.
The sniper update was ready to release a while ago, but because of the 360 stacked update, they simply waited and waited, and ended up finishing the spy update as well. Bundle it together for more hype, and more content for the 360.
Man, stuff like this makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

How many of valves updates have been thing stolen directly from the fans and forums? Im suprised people are suprised… No offence.
The good thing is they are updateing 2 classes, so only 3 classes to go when this is out.
We should have seen this coming. imagine if the sniper update had been released on its own; TF2 -> CS over night. valve even balances their updates for us :O
