TUP at i35
We have previously mentioned that there will be prize money to the next i-series event – UK’s number one LAN: i35. The prize money are though somewhat disappointing because even if 23 teams participate the first place only takes home £200 – divided by 6 that’s £33 which compared to the entrance fee £80 isn’t of much use.
A new very interesting piece of news is that if you pay an extra £40 you can rent a computer for your disposal all four days. This might motivate some more teams to turn up.

Are you MAD multiplay? Get some support going for this game!
Nope, they aren’t “MAD” they are just utter fucking failure as usual, nothing seems to have changed much since my first i-series (11), they still seem to have no clue about gaming.
the cashprizes is an insult to the tf2 community in my opinion….wtf really
thats not even worth thinking of going there.
well it would be nice to go and at least there’s more prizes than last time! There’s a good chance more than 23 teams will sign up imo, last events there’s been ~20 teams
Cmon man, if you have to PAY even if u win the event, something is seriosly fucked up.
Let me rephrase myself: Ahahahah, what a joke.
epic fail.
UK’s number one LAN, what a joke.
Come on, this is at least a step in the right direction. I have been saying since I went to my first i-series (i33) that the main trouble for the tournaments is lack of TUP. Hopefully that issue is covered now for more than just one event, we can start working on getting some decent prizes. Though finding sponsors for a tournament that has few top teams actually enter isn’t an easy thing.
well, yeah the prizes aren’t great, unless a load of fun teams show up, but multiplay has always been a LAN party not a competition based LAN, it sucks and it does piss all over the competitive scene, but if it’s worth going as it’s a pretty good social event, esp If you go with your team. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a good event for tf2 and untill some sponsers come in to bail mpuk out it will continue to be like this, at least they have tup, which is a small step in the right direction!
For the record, I’ve never ended upon profit after any LAN, tlr only gave tickets, accom is so much more expensive, but then I don’t go to any lan just to make money 🙂
Exactly Wlv I think some people are missing the point of the i-series. Its a really good social event and good for networking and meeting people. How many people came away from PCGS saying it was really good and they enjoyed meeting up to actually have some games face to face and add that personal touch, as well as being able to discuss it all over a beer.
Only at i-series there is alot more to see and watch rather than only seeing the game you are playing.
Crack! would definitely be there but the prize money is not even enough to cover the time wasted 🙂
If I want a social LAN I’ve got Dreamhack 10 kilometers away from my house 😉
or you come over to my place and we celebrate our special appe/mvp party!
appe you are lucky then 😀 every LAN is friggin far away from here…
