AppZ and TCM’s way forward.

For the second part of the recent changes I caught up with former  Team-Coolermaster scout AppZ, their in-game tactician Byte and their manager Xman for a better insight in to TCM’s latest news.

I first talked to AppZ to find out why he was removed from the line-up and to find out his plans for the future.

Why were you removed from the lineup? Its obviously not due to ability.  Was it lack of commitment? Internal Issues?

Before the move to TCM, we were knuckling down and practising a lot, beating 4-Kings a few times etc.  Then I got us the TCM sponsorship and it all seemed to slow down, people not practising as much, which was beginning to show.  Nobody seemed to be learning from their mistakes and while getting the TCM sponsorship and beating 4Kings a few times when they were a bit ropey, it seemed to inflate egos a bit.  So anyway they finally got fed up of my constant abuse on vent due to peoples incompetance and lack of ability so they decided they didnt want me around anymore.

So what now for you? Looking for a new team or are you done with tf2?

It’s a coinflip really, I’ve been mixing with the CGS guys and Quad-V and have been enjoying that. However I still have some friends in the tf2 scene who I’d like to keep playing with if playing css at a decent level wasn’t viable.

Next I caught up with Byte to see how he thought the removal of AppZ would affect TCM and to catch a little insight into how TCM work ingame.

How do you feel the removal of AppZ from your roster will affect the way your roster gels together?

Losing such a talented player is always a hard thing, but when you have other players in the team who make a impact also it brings us all together with the manager. His skills will be missed and probably demote our overall level of skill as a team however as for teamplay things will be alot better than before.

How precise do you call in-game, are you more of a strict straight to the point no deviations type of guy, or do you leave a lot of it open to interpretation for the rest of the guys?

I’m very precise usually i specify what where who and why, i also at the same time calculate whats happening in the game while trying to also aim and protect myself. All these comms are neccessary if one is to anticipate early cause if you don’t you have a much bigger chance of dying.

Last but by no means least, I caught up with team manager Xman to see how the search for a replacement was going and how well he thinks the TCM brand can support the team.

Hows the search for a replacement for AppZ going? Do you have any specific people in mind and if so who?

I have been watching a lot of good players that are currently at the top of their game and to be honest it hasn’t been easy.  We were approached by several players and the two that we have been working with are Zerox and Rebeli.  Both are really good players and nice guys to work with so now its just a matter of time to see how things pan out.

Having attended PCGamer with the TCM banner, do you feel they are going to provide you with exactly what you need to be the best that you can as a team?

TCM are brilliant group of people to work with. Whitley the team owner is well experienced and supportive of his players. Understanding what is needed to get the best out of them. I have every confidence in TCM and feel sure that they will help maintain our current status and encourage us to develop.

I’d like to thank AppZ, Byte and Xman for their time and extend a good luck to both Zerox and  Rebeli with their respective trials at Team-Coolermaster.
