Tuesday: Top Matches Tonight

The ETF2L match between  k1ck and  Ubersexuals can have an significant impact on the outcome of Division 1.

 k1ck have two matches left against Ubersexuals and TCM. If k1ck manages to get 7 points from these two matches they will take 1st place (which means they must win 2 maps and draw one, or win 3 maps).

Ubersexuals also have two matches left against k1ck and TFPortal. Ubersexuals‘ only chance of taking 1st place is if they win all 4 maps.

TCM‘s only chance of taking the 1st place is if they win both maps against k1ck (the maps are pl_goldrush and cp_pro_granary). If that happens and Ubersexuals win their remaining 4 maps then Ubersexuals and TCM would be tied for the lead. If Ubersexuals don’t win all 4 maps, TCM would win 1st place.

Four Kings also have the chance of taking (or tieing) the 1st place if k1ck gets 6 points or less and TCM doesn’t win both maps against k1ck, and Ubersexuals doesn’t win all 4 maps.

Possible outcomes of tonight’s match:

• Uber 6-0 k1ck: Since Ubersexuals would most probably beat TFPortal, Ubersexuals would take the 1st place. But TCM would have the chance of tieing the 1st place if they win both maps against k1ck.
   
• Uber 0-6 k1ck: k1ck would only need 1 point to take 1st, ie. they would have to at least tie one map against TCM. If they fail doing that, TCM will take 1st place.
   
• Uber 3-3 k1ck: k1ck would need to win at least one map against TCM to tie 4 Kings for 1st. If they don’t get a map win, then either TCM will win both maps and take 1st place, or 4 Kings will take 1st place.
   
• Uber 4-1 k1ck: k1ck would have to win both maps against TCM to take 1st place. If they don’t win both maps, TCM will take 1st place by winning both maps, otherwise 4 Kings take 1st.
   
• Uber 1-4 k1ck: k1ck could take 1st by winning at least one map against TCM. If they don’t win one map, TCM will take 1st place by winning both maps, otherwise 4 Kings take 1st.
   
• Uber 2-2 k1ck: k1ck would have to win goldrush and tie(/win) granary against TCM to tie 4 Kings for 1st. If they fail, TCM would need to win both maps to take 1st, otherwise 4 Kings take 1st. 

As we can see there’s still loads of possibilities for 4 Kings to take 1st, as long as no one gets 6 points tonight. Ubersexuals will have to take 6 points to keep their chance of taking 1st though. It will be interesting to see who draws the longest straw. 🙂
