Next season will be fine though , we have around 1000 pounds in total for two tournaments , and d2/d3/d4 winners teams will not get money , it’s all about division 1 !

Those bitches dig that money right Mick? 😉

You didnt join ED to cater for your own needs/4Kings did you? :}

Why not? The best way to improve things is to get involved! However we made the changes from the feedback from Season 3, no credit for Mick this time 😛 Mind you he has been pivotal in getting the high skilled team involved for Season 4.

I like the prize system for ED season 4; division 1 winners get £400 then beat all the other division winners to get another £200 D: Why not just give it all to the division 1 winners and avoid all the faffing about arranging extra matches and the pretence that anyone else stands a chance of getting cash this time.

We would’ve been involved earlier if you stayed the fuck away from terrible custom maps, but at the time you were a horrible wireplay clone.

I agree Krakyn. Obviously the only teams that can compete with the winner of the premiere division are the teams that are in the premiere division. So if you make a cup with the winners of the divisions, the winner of the premier division is gonna win that.
I would prefer a system where the winners of the £400 can’t also win the £200. That way two teams will go home happy. 🙂

I agree with f2

Please do not question the deciding elite of the TF2 scene 8<8<8<8<8<

but yeah, seriously speaking I agree with F2

WUT?!?
I thought exactly THAT would be the case. Oh well… Why not just give it all to div1, since only the div1 guys can compete with each other, no way for the lower ones.

edit: that’s like this.

i undestand where both of these opinions are coming from. 🙂

It’s annoying for “lower teams” if they dont actually stand a chance of winning any money.

BUT

But to give money to the winners of lower divs is annoying for higher teams who are not favorites to win the prem. because all they’d need to do to get some prize money would be to drop down a division and beat the crap out of the lower teams there.

That’s that 😛

ofc this is a dilemma of sorts. If ED pools all the money to the prem. div, we would have a respectable prize pool for a online competition, maybe even respectbale on FPS eSports online comp standards. On the other hand a compo with a divided pool to different divs might attract more teams to it and be more respectable because of that. OFC personally i’d like to have all the money on the line for the prem div because I have a decent chance of getting some of it, but then again I worship this game, and would like to see the option implemented that benefits the game more…too bad i’m not sure which one it is 🙂

I agree with F2. It would be a good idea to give the non-prem teams something to play for too. Give them an incentive to play hard and good things will happen. Even if it’s just a token £100 gesture. You can’t split that kind of money, but it helps non-sponsored teams pay their server bills. 😛

Anyway, really looking forward to next season.

I feel that all the prize money should be in the premier division only, due to the fact that the top teams have put the effort in to becoming top teams so they should really be rewarded for it. Yes, £100 is nice for a non-premier team to get but I don’t think they really deserve it. It is possible to only play one or two pcw a night in a lower division but once you’re playing against the top teams if you’re not on your game 100% of the time you’re going to get beaten, so the high skilled teams need to put more time and effort into the game which they should be rewarded for. Also there is still a large incentive there for lower division teams to practice hard to be able to get to the premier division and have the possibility to win a decent amount of money.
I’m also looking forward to this season of ED and I hope it goes well because it would be good for TF2 to have another league as respectable as ETF2L.
