The Reality LAN VIII

We have been reporting from The Reality LAN before here on Gossip: (See if you can spot Haunter) Druidz win Reality 7. In March they are launching their 8th installment of their LAN, but this time there will be a cash prize! If at least 10 teams show up, there will be a whopping €600 cash prize for the winning team plus hardware prizes.

On the ETF2L Forums Amonsilas writes:

You can expect all the rules to be up to date, as it is right now we will play:
– 6on6
– cl2, ml1, dl1
– no critical hits
– normal mappool
– poule phase and playoffs

We are working hard on arranging coverage (ETF2L Radio or other) in the form of video + audio on event and ofcourse on demand after the event for you. All extra signups (paid) mean more budget for this, so if you want to help us make progress, get your subscription done!

Quick info:
The Reality VIII will take place from 20-03-2009 til 22-03-2009 and has 700 places. Next to TF2 their will be CoD, CS and 1v1 competitions, with money and hardware prizes.

– Until 1 february 2009: 37.50 euro
– Until 18 march 2009: 42.50 euro
– On the event: 47.50 euro

If any non-Dutch teams want to sign up and need assistance (for example with translation) please contact me! Help the community by making this a succesfull TF2 tournament, get your team to sign up and come over to join the fun!

If this TF2 tournament gets successful, the next event will definitely have a bigger prizepot! Another reason to participate!

Remember, you don’t go to a LAN to win money, you go there to have fun! (Winning money is fun btw.)

i am going for sure !
It would be really good if more good teams attend to the lan , its really decent , good organisation
And we all know that holland has some benefits that other country’s dont have 😉
the pricemoney for TF2 is better then Most lans with TF2 competition , good sleep acomodation , decent prices for everything and many more things that are allowed in holland that arent allowed in other country’s :p

there is a big chance that me ( i’m going for sure cause it ownz ) Springer and Skinnie might be going aswell , and probably if more good teams attend.

Beside , all of you guys whine about : TF2 isnt popular enough , no lans for it , no prices etc….
well , this lan go’s trough the trouble to set up a TF2 competition and trying to get teams and arraging pricemoney , this is your chance to go , get coverage and make it more popular… dont let this one down .. if one of the last lans that try to get a future for TF2…
