Freight Revised

Fishbus, the creator of cp_freight who also made cp_steel, is working on a revised version of cp_freight called cp_freight_r. It is not finished yet, but we do have some screenshots of it plus you can download the map (even though it is not in its final state).

The changes are mostly in the area between 1st and 3rd point. There are too many changes to explain them all, but here are some teaser screenshots:

You can download the map here but remember this is not the final version, so you will have to delete this map when the final version is released.

the gotfrag post on it: http://www.gotfrag.com/tf2/forums/thread/398029/

seems like some interesting changes, not sure whether good or bad.

This is NOT the final version.

Fishbus posted on our community (Knifeback Mountain) message boards, where we are testing it:

“I just wanna mention that freight_r is not the “final” version of freight_r, so you guys will have to re-download/delete it when i do the last couple of tweaks :)”

He’s also making a new 5 CP push map which he says is nearing a playable beta. Apparently it’s an homage to TFC Warpath, but only in the sense that TF2 Badlands is a homage to the TFC one.

The new base looks heavy, will add more complications to that stage of the game for sure.

imo one of the main problems with freight is that a demoman can stand in 2nd spawn and sticky up the right entrance, basically being invulnerable and being able to deal an immense amount of damage. Unfortunately that hasn’t been fixed yet.

Bait him, get him to explode the stickies, enter, sticky the spawn. Now the tables have turned.
