Get Unlockable Weapons Easier
To get the unlockable weapons (and hats) you have to be on a TF2 server. Whether you play or idle doesn’t matter. So some people are idling on servers overnight just to get unlocks – or running TF2 minimized in windowed mode while being at work. Now this has become easier to do.
Drunken_F00l has made a simple console application that you can open and minimize. It fakes idling on a TF2 server and it will notify you when you get new items. It’s very simple and consumes almost no resources. All you have to do is start Steam and run the application.
You can download the application here. Thousands of people are already using this, and it works really well. However, you never know what Valve will do to prevent this. We take no responsibility for what might happen to your Steam account.
Note: You cannot run this program and TF2 at the same time.

The more people who use it the less likely they are to ban?
If half of the community are using it, banning those who use it will decimate the already small community

a VAC ban wont give a shit why, and it wont unban you. And they are always delayed from the reason for banning, so that hack creaters cant be sure which hack they tested gets them vac banned and such.

Tbh can steam ban you if your not doing this on a VAC server? I think the answers no so im guessing its safe.
It doesnt connect to a VAC server so VAC wont ban you.
It only checks for background programs on VAC servers, so the only way would be if the TF2 team found a way to identify it then decided to ban everyone who used it, which would be a big chunk of their userbase.
And who can blame us for using it? 😡

Tbh after idling for a stupid amount of hours and no hats, i got one (the tooth belt) while ingame on a MPUK server but none from idling, has anyone got any from idling or shall i just stop getting 10 pointless duplicates a day?
In the settings.txt set:
showItemSummary = 1
autoDeleteDuplicates = 1
Then you can see that, yes people do get hats, and whenever you get a new duplicate item it will automatically be deleted.
