cp_prolane_v2
For a long time there has been a consensus in the competitive community that cp_fastlane has good potential but there’s something wrong with it. Especially the spawn times and the capture times have been criticised.
spence & co. has now made a new version of the map called cp_prolane_v2. Besides fixing the spawn & captimes, these are the most important changes:
The spawn area has been redesigned to avoid people from defending cap 1 from inside the spawn
Likewise the first capture point has been redesigned
At the second capture point a tunnel has been added (at the right of the image)
The medium medpack has been replaced with a small medpack
A small medpack on the left has been removed and
the medium medpack on the right has been replaced with a small medpack
A small medpack in the little walkway on the right has been removed
On the sides of the middle point the small medpacks have been removed

Too many health removals 🙂
Exactly what I thought also. 🙂
How about fixing ONLY the respawn times and the health cabins’ locations in the first respawn? Ding, we’d get a completely playable, maybe even enjoyable, fastlane.

I don’t think there was any point in removing most of these health packs, it will just mean that if your medics dead your teams dead and what I liked about fastlane was that occassionally the last member of a team (soli or demo) could put up a fairly good fight and hold the enemy at the choke doors.
There was no need to remove the little health pack in the last picture 🙁 that was my favorite :3
Why the tunnel? Does that balance anything? :S
I like the removal of some of the healthpacks, there really was way more hp then any other cp push map. And even with some of these removed theres still plenty imo. Looks nice!
